Teeth Whitening

This is the process in which a discolored tooth or a group of discolored teeth can be "lightened" in color tone to give the patient a whiter and healthier smile. The categories are four:

1. In-office Whitening A photo is taken, the gums are prepared for protection, and a special gel is applied to the teeth – duration: 20 minutes.

2. At-home Whitening The patient receives custom-made trays from the dentist (one for each jaw) and carries out the treatment by applying a special gel into the trays and wearing them during sleep at night. The duration of the treatment ranges from 7 to 14 days, depending on the desired result.

3. Combination of 1 & 2 Recommended for faster visible results and longer-lasting effects.

4. Internal Whitening of a Root Canal Treated Tooth This is a different technique in which a whitening agent is placed inside the tooth, temporarily sealed, and then removed after three days. The procedure may need to be repeated until the desired result is achieved.
